2021 CGA Annual Meeting
Call for Abstracts
The CGA-IGC invites the submission of abstracts regarding clinical, basic science, and/or psychosocial aspects of hereditary colorectal cancer. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive update on the status of research and to stimulate collaborations, recruitment of subjects, and ideas for the development of other studies. Authors may submit abstracts of completed work, work in progress, or work presented elsewhere within the past 12 months. All abstracts will be peer reviewed and selected for poster or podium presentation.
NEW THIS YEAR
Any student/trainee that submits an abstract selected for a poster or podium presentation will receive $150 off of meeting registration. The presenting author must be a student/trainee, must attend the meeting in-person and include a letter from their program director within their submission in order to receive the discount.
NEW THIS YEAR
The CGA-IGC is inaugurating the “Advancing Health Equity” category for abstract submission. The category is for research studies that advance the understanding of, and ultimately improves health equity and eliminates health disparities. This may include but is not limited to projects investigating how genomic services can be deployed in diverse health care settings and underserved communities and addressing underrepresentation of diverse populations in genomic research. Up to two abstracts will be selected for 10-minute podium presentations for the 2021 CGA-IGC Annual meeting to present their work.
AGAIN THIS YEAR
The CGA-IGC is offering the "Collaborative Research" category for abstract submissions. This category is for research studies (including, but not limited, to those with only preliminary data) which would be strengthened by increasing the scale of the investigation through collaborative research with others in the CGA-IGC membership. Up to two (2) abstracts will be selected for 10 minute podium presentations at the 2021 CGA-IGC Annual Meeting to present their work to date and facilitate potential collaboration from among interested colleagues within the CGA-IGC. Submitting authors should indicate their interest in having their abstract considered for this special category at the time of submission, and will be asked to provide additional information about the type of collaboration being sought. Any abstracts submitted for the “Collaborative Research” category but not selected for the 2 podium presentations will be given full consideration for podium and poster presentations with the rest of the abstract pool.
The deadline for all abstract submissions is 11:59 pm ET on Friday, July 30, 2021. Abstracts submitted after the deadline will not be accepted; the deadline will not be extended. There will be NO late-breaking abstract submissions this year. For detailed information on the submission process and to submit your abstract, please click on the button below. If the guidelines within the abstract portal are not followed, your abstract will be rejected. Presenting authors must register and attend the meeting, either in-person or virtually.
When submitting an abstract, you will be asked to create a username and password. The username does not link to the membership portal.
