Learn from our president, Bryson Katona, MD, PhD, about the importance of this partnership with Fight CRC and the rising rates of early-onset colorectal cancer. See below how you can participate this March during #ColorectalCancerAwarenessMonth!
#StrongArmSelfie Take a picture of yourself (or your team at work!) doing a strong-arm selfie. Be sure to dress in blue or a CGA-IGC shirt. Post it with the hashtag #StrongArmSelfie on Twitter and/or Instagram, and tag @FightCRC to help support their initiative.
The #StrongArmSelfie is an easy and fun way to show your support for colorectal cancer survivors and their families. Tag @FightCRC and for every post, $1 is donated to the fight! Additionally, those individuals who post a picture will be entered into a raffle to win CGA-IGC and FightCRC apparel!
Blue Flags Initiative. On March 12, Fight CRC, along with CGA-IGC member Anna Strang and hundreds of colorectal cancer advocates, will be in Washington, DC, for the Call-on Congress. From March 9-22, 2024, 27,400 blue flags will blanket the National Lawn, representing the projected number of colorectal cancer cases in individuals under age 50 in 2030.
We are encouraging CGA-IGC members to support this effort across the country by placing blue flags in their yards. Be sure to take a picture and post it with the hashtag #PrioritizeCRC and tag @FightCRC. There are a number of cheap options on Amazon for those who are interested - click HERE !
