2 October / Was #PrevivorDay! Take the time to read the excellent and insightful blog post by our Communications committee member and a previvor herself, Michelle Springer, MS, CGC. She shares what it means to be a previvor, the benefits and importance of genetic testing, and the power of advocacy.
3 October / We shared an updated resource we released earlier this year during other awareness months or weeks. Michelle Springer, MS, CGC, wrote a blog post about "How Family History of Cancer Can Influence Cancer Screening." During #FAPAwarenessWeek, we had the honor of hearing Michael Caprio’s inspiring story. You can listen to his story HERE, which includes some other resources. Take the time to learn more about this lesser-known #HereditaryGICancer Syndrome.
4 October / What do you know about the GINA Law? Thanks to our Communications committee vice-chair, Kimberly Hilfrank, MS, MPH, CG, for sharing this important information relevant to patients and healthcare providers in the USA. Learn more HERE.
